Actress Sally Phillips has argued that there is a case for banning screening tests to detect Down’s Syndrome in unborn babies.
The Bridget Jones’ star, whose 11-year-old son Ollie has Down’s Syndrome, argued that if we’re trying to become a more “inclusive society” such tests should not have a place.
Mother-of-three Sally, 45, said that the “arms race for new technology” was “upsetting” as she found it de-humanises the people with Down’s Syndrome.
