When BETH BEAUMONT EPSTEIN was born her parents were told she would never learn to read. Now, at 15, she has aspirations to go to university. 

Her mother HENNY explains the need for less negativity towards Down’s Syndrome

It’s 4pm on a weekday afternoon, and Beth Beaumont Epstein bounces into the house from school, gives her mum Henny a big hug and talks excitedly about her day.

As with all mothers, you can see the pride in Henny’s eyes as Beth tells me how much she’s enjoying maths and how her favourite sport is swimming.
